Prepare yourself for an extraordinary adventure.
From July 25 to August 1, 2026, the second edition of the TransSwissRun (TSR) invites you to a unique odyssey across Switzerland, with a triumphant arrival on National Day.
After a first edition in 2025 where five of the six pioneers crossed the finish line on time, the TSR returns with even more promises, challenges... and magic.
An odyssey from west to east
The TransSwissRun is a non-stop foot race connecting the two ends of the country: from the French-Swiss border stone 1.5 in Chancy (Geneva), on the banks of the Rhône, to Müstair (Grisons), on the Italian border, by the Rom river.
The route
- 508 km distance
- More than 10,500 m positive elevation
- 93 municipalities crossed
- 6 cantons
- 5 alpine passes (4 of which over 2000 m)
- 4 river basins
- 3 linguistic regions
An immersion in authentic Switzerland
Each step immerses you in a postcard setting: sparkling lakes, deep forests, peaceful valleys, alpine villages... All punctuated by the sounds of French, Swiss German and Romansh. More than half of the route follows secure cycle routes, passable day and night.
An endurance race... with character
The TSR is not a walk in the park. It's a demanding adventure with no official refreshments, isolated sections, significant elevation, and sometimes unpredictable conditions.
Autonomy, preparation, and support are essential.
Unforgettable encounters
On your way, expect to meet kind faces — provided you offer a sign, a smile, a word. The atmosphere is one of conviviality, authenticity... and sometimes the unusual.
Join the legend
Cross a country. Surpass yourself. Experience the intensity of an extraordinary adventure.
The TransSwissRun 2026 awaits you.
